Meet, Olivia, our production manager
My Christmas cactus. I thought it was dead all last year but it magically bloomed this winter and really helped me through some frigid December days.
Also a collection of partially used chapsticks, hair clips, a seashell I found in Capecod this Fall and a blue plastic chicken toy that's missing a leg but is near and dear to my heart so I can't get rid of it- all my most important odds and ends! :)
What are you listening to while sewing?
The podcast “Ologies,”
More about Ologies: Take away a pocket full of science knowledge and charming, bizarre stories about what fuels these professional -ologists' obsessions. Humorist and science correspondent Alie Ward asks smart people stupid questions and the answers might change your life. — Apple Podcasts
What are three words that align with your artistic practice?
Sporadic, Fuschia, Tchotchke.
What do you do with your Mondays?
I have breakfast with my sister, do a few chores around the apartment, give my pet tortoise a bath in the tub, and go for a walk around my neighborhood. I also work on some of my own art projects, recently I've been making a big papier maché pear for a pal.
Olivia hand-painted our special edition cow print (below) which are still available! All proceeds going to North Brooklyn Mutual Aid & Black Trans Femmes in the Arts.
